Babies

Music Together® offers a one-semester Babies Class for families with infants from birth through eight months of age. In this class, the activities are specifically designed to teach you how to support music development in infancy and how to connect with your baby through music using methods such as "purposeful touch," "sound-layering," "dancing for baby," etc. And since our Babies Class uses the same song collections as our other classes, you will experience a seamless transition as your baby grows into our Mixed Ages classes.

Mixed Ages

Child development researchers have found that grouping together children of varying ages fosters natural, family-style learning. The hallmark of the Music Together program, our Mixed Ages Class gives children the environment they need to grow musically while interacting both socially and musically with peers of different ages. Younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones; and adults are happy because their children can go to class together. And any or all of your child's caregivers—parents, grandparents, nannies—can come share in the experience, both in class and at home. The whole family is welcome!

Rhythm Kids by Music Together

Rhythm Kids™ is an exciting music, movement, and drumming class where children integrate and assimilate rhythm into their lives. Your child will sing, dance, move, drum, and play to songs and beats from around the world. Rhythm Kids is proud to be a part of Music Together, the internationally recognized early childhood music education program. Rhythm Kids 4-5 and Rhythm Kids K-2 classes are appropriate for children ages 4–8 will be offered through select locations as we further develop the program. This is a pilot program and is only taught by approved instructors at approved centers.

Generations

In senior residential and day programs across the country, people of all ages come together to sing, dance, shake shakers, and swing scarves during weekly Music Together intergenerational classes. As the children’s music-learning is nurtured, babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their grownups also foster new and important relationships with "Musical Grandfriends." These unique and powerful classes are also greatly enjoyed by the seniors and staff. Seniors look forward to the children's lively visits, the chance to share memories, and the sheer fun of these playful music-making experiences. The additional cognitive, physical, and emotional benefits for both children and elders make the Music Together Generations class a win-win for all participants.
